We have to, we can, we jump … – Nova Makedonija
I usually observe events from a so -called bird’s perspective to see a significant relationship between them in a wider context. However, no matter how much I raise and try, what has happened in Serbia in recent months remains hopeless, meaningless. For this reason, this time I will see things from the perspective of the frog, refusing to give them any meaning, because, in this postmodern era, such a thing does not exist
Attitude: Observation of some essential social phenomena in Serbia – from a frog perspective
Emil Durkhem believed that social anomy, among other things, could be overcome by the development of professional corporations. In fact, these are associations whose primary purpose, in addition to strengthening professional solidarity, is to become a moral compass and instrument for social integration. The question that our sociologist does not consider is what will happen if these associations are affected by anomy. This is exactly what happened with journalist associations, which none of which spoke about the RTS blockade, nor about public humiliation and threats to reporters of that company…
For the public media service
Maybe it’s not a problem in associations. Maybe they are simply waiting for the RTS management to release their first announcement, as is usual. They are waiting in vain. The late Tijanic will speak earlier than the current head of that house, known as the Bruty quiet. And maybe it’s not, but they thought there were no more journalists in the RTS, as this media house reduced its basic activity to a minimum, turning into a mediator who transferred the production of programs, especially expensive, third parties, leaving the financial staff, chefs, drivers, drivers.
Of course, the public does not care about it, just like those who have been jumping for days in front of the RTS entrance. The comicity of such behavior is not only in its appearance, but above all in the unreasonable expectation that RTS blocking can solve the problem of REM members (media regulatory body), most of which do not even know what they are doing. The idea, if I understand well, is that – if the procedure for selection of REM members does not restart, the RTS group will require its abolition – the same people to choose the new REM. In addition, it is clear that no matter how many times a new procedure will be initiated, the parliamentary majority that decides on the choice of these articles will always choose those who will be in accordance with their will, not the will of the blockers. The absurdity of the RTS blockade was only hinted. A complete impression is given when it is seen that the blockades have blocked the only television channel that carefully followed their activities – with the exception, each in their own way, the H1 and Informer.
However, what is most surprising is that instead of blocking it, no one, for example, has asked for access to RTS documentation. This is surprising, given the fact that the documentation is a favorite reading for the blockades, and especially since this television documentary is much more interesting than the reconstruction of the Novi Sad train station.
But let’s leave the RTS of fate. If a country can withstand half a year without university, it will not even collapse without a television program.
For the university
You can’t live without university forever. By the time this text appears, the outcome of the dialogue that the new Prime Minister and Rector initiated the dialogue. Although I hope this will lead to the continuation of the academic year, I suppose none. The revolutionary wing of the expanded Rector’s College cannot allow the extension of teaching because someone might wonder what was the point of his six -month suspension. In that case – hard on the deans. If the rector, as before, refers to the decisions of the plenum, it will be another insurmountable difficulty in establishing classes. The rector, I hope that I am wrong, agreed to the interview only from academic decency and not to say that he did not cooperate, and to easily shift the blame for the loss of the year on the state.
In this political game, the victims are students. However, there are those who claim that losing an academic year is no big deal. After all, they remind me that we have lost a year in the army, so we miss nothing. I’m not sure about it, especially when it comes to those who think so. However, the truth is that during this six -month blockade, today’s students, without even understanding, have completed a sort of leading training course. From the first day of the protest, students were trained to stand peacefully in silence for half an hour. That modified greeting with the flag was difficult for anyone to refuse it. But as we know, when we agree even the trivial demands of those who want to influence us, we begin to see ourselves differently and easily agree to new, similar or more serious demands.
Students learned a military discipline?!
Over time, the blockers began to accept various responsibilities within various committees, and then entered the list of duties (in the military, this was called a fire guard). Instead of morning exercises, they gladly jumped and shouted as a command. After that, instead of marching, they continued to walk the future roads of the revolution (this at the same time symbolically made it clear that the roads and railways were not even needed). Bridges blockades have replaced the drill to prevent rivers from crossing the rivers, and a particularly favorite exercise is to take over the enemy infrastructure. Thus, the GSP depots (City Traffic Company) or RTS buildings, which is comparable to former field bits, have become a substitute for war weapons. A particularly good exercise is what was called an alarm in the army, and here it is a response to an emergency rally. However, while the frightening sounds of the sirens woke us up, a short sound signal from Webber is now enough. Future reserve officers have developed, besides all this, and loss of empathy towards the « enemy », and enemies are all those who oppose the decisions of the plenum and congregations. Sometimes, imaginary enemies were Turks and Germans, but now they are Serbs. We should not forget that, as in any army, moral and political work is taken into account, which reflects in joint reading books and watching selected TV content. And finally, there is always time for song, dance and occasional pras, as it is known that where there are young people, there are always games and jokes.
In fact, the only obvious difference between military training we went through and this « pre -war » is that we were forced and disciplined on the principle that the Serb voluntarily joins the military – two drag it out, and three beat him. The current ZED Generation does not fit « you must » but to « you can ». It is difficult to discipline, but it is easy for self -discipline. This much more subtle way of managing people is a consequence-as Byung-Jul Jan explains-the developed ego ideal and a picture of their own perfection that parents impose on their children through constant and tireless encouragement that they can do more and better because they are simply perfect. Chasing their own ideal of perfection, they jump, shout, quarrel, block, guided out of every measure and reason from the inner idea of their own superiority implanted by their parents trainers. They are not guided by fear, threat or rewards, nor are they motivated by ideals or higher meaning; They are simply guided by an internal urge for perfection they can do without much questioning the meaning of what they do.
While the state hesitated and delayed the introduction of military training, young men and women self -organized and self -disciplined by designing their own pre -war training. It is only important for no one to tell them – you have to, but you can do it (the gold of Mom and Dad). A nation that has such a youth should not worry about its future, as it is the perfect workforce for the 21st century high -tech capitalism.
