English teacher Milan Mandeljc He is a teacher in 2025 and a Slovenian representative for the World Selection Global Teacher Prize. He was visibly moved at the announcement and said that it was bad that not all the winners, ie the rest of the superfinalists, the class teacher, could not be Katja Pristušek and Mirjana Jelančič. Mandeljc says he will continue to strive to promote the most beautiful, teaching profession, with the most important heart.

The teachers in 2025 were proclaimed at a business breakfast, where they talked about the importance of knowing « digital », the language of computer science and informatics, and the importance of inclusion of this subject in schools. The event and selection of the teacher of the year was prepared by AmCham Slovenia, and the selection includes teachers participating in the initiative I’m a teacher! I’m a teacher!who has been working for many years to spread the best teaching practices in Slovenian schools and in which our media outlet also participates.

At the announcement of the winner, teacher Milan Mandeljc was really moved. “Everything you see from the teachers is ahead. We have our feet to walk with students and students. Maybe we really don’t educate them for your professions, we may not be able to educate them for all future machines that are waiting for us, for all phones and applications.
