We have low energy consumption. How Burduja translates

The national energy system works without problems, even if, on the Sunday of Pentecost, there is a low energy consumption, approximately 3,700 MW, similar to the Easter days, Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja on Sunday.

According to the Minister of Energy, the energy production of Romania is at 4,200 MW, while the consumption is about 3,700 MW, resulting in a difference of almost 500 MW, which Romania exports.

« Even under the special conditions of a low consumption, there is no risk of blackout, as I said before. The national energy system has proven to meet special situations in recent years. We have top specialists in the national energy dispatcher (DN) and at the level of large production units. related to the rains of the last few weeks is that we have exceeded 87% filling in energy lakes.

Sebastian Burduja revealed that on Sunday, around 11:30, the energy mix of Romania was composed of 30% of photovoltaic and wind energy (almost 1,000MW in solar parks, without counting the production of prosumers). ‘Unit 1 in Cernavoda produces in the band and does its job with over 660 MW, and unit 2 will return at the end of the month, after the maintenance period scheduled by Nuclearelectrica. It will definitely help us in the coming months, as consumption will increase, with the outside temperature. On the gas and coal side, we have a reduced production now, a total of about 850 MW ‘, Burduja noted.

« A clean mix overall, with almost 80% of the production from sources that do not produce greenhouse gas emissions (hydro, nuclear, solar, wind). This does not mean that we can suddenly remove the coal from the national energy mix, without putting anything in place. The EU, and from 2027 we will double our production, with the exploitation of Neptun Deep gases.

In the end, the minister thanked the specialists in the energy sector, for which there are no days or holidays.
