« We have a new record »: Bruges police judge is amazed by blood results woman (38) who drove around with just under 4 Promille (inland)

The Bruges police judge frowned hard to see the eyebrows at the MS file. The 38-year-old lady appeared in court at the end of January after being caught in traffic with no less than 3.91 Promille alcohol. Now her blood values also appear to break a new record. The lady was declared riding -fitting. « I’ve never seen this, » said the judge.
During her first appearance for the police judge on January 23, MS strongly denied that she was struggling with an alcohol addiction. Nevertheless, the 38-year-old from Kortrijk was caught at home in a summer bar on July 12, 2024 after a night of entertainment. A witness had previously seen which chunk trail she traveled with her car on the way home.
Eventually MS got home without cracks, but a little later the agents were on the front door. After checking, she appeared to be under the influence with no less than 3.91 Promille in her blood: an exceptional and extremely high percentage.
After three months, the woman realizes that it cannot continue like this. « In the meantime my client has gained insight, » says her lawyer Floor Ameye. « She realizes how serious it was and that such behavior cannot stay with impunity. »
The case was postponed three months in January, so that S. could take the necessary blood tests. But after the 3.91 Promille, there was again much wonder in the court on Thursday morning with the Bruges police judge. « We have a new record, » the judge responded cynically. « I have never seen these values. And you were already with the toppers. »
Blood results
A value of 4,000 ng/mg emerged from a first blood test. According to the judge, 200 NG/mg is equal with an average consumption of six beers of 25 centiliters per day. According to Advocate Ameye, her client was also seriously shocked by the results. « My client had not seen these results coming, » says Ameye, who emphasized during the session that the other blood results did go the right direction. The percentages of the other two, later blood tests are considerably lower.
The Bruges police judge decided to condemn the woman for a fine of 2,000 euros and a two -month driving ban. Moreover, the woman must also undergo medical and psychological tests. Finally, the judge ruled that the lady is being declared riding. After the ruling, MS issued her driver’s license on the spot. Only within six months can the woman get back her driver’s license at the earliest, but only if she can prove on the basis of testing that she was sober for six months.
