Subsequently, the President of the Association of Relative Victims commented on the results of the House of Inquiry Committee, saying that he was not satisfied at all, even describing the process as a parody.

« In the House, the Inquiry Committee was nothing more than a parody. Unfortunately, in this country justice and the government always protect politicians. No justice has ever been judged for any state crime, ”he said, noting that the committee was not called upon to testify with keys that would help enlighten the accident in Tempi,” said Ms. Karystianou.

Also, the mother of the wrongdoing Marty, also referred to the face of the then Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, responsible for the Greek Railway, Costas Karamanlis, stressing that when she was called upon to testify to the exam « she made many mistakes and inaccuracies ».

« Because this committee is not made up of judges but mainly by majority MPs, it did not bother the minister's immunity, » Maria Karystianou stressed, concluding that the Commission in Parliament was « just a parody ».

At the same time, the president of the Association of the Tempe's affected crash referred to the role of the judicial and political system in investigating the multiple railway conflict.

« The judicial system and the government always protect politicians. No state crime has ever been brought to justice, « Ms. Karystianou said, adding that » in the case of Tempe crime, the whole society has taken over the case of the victims' families and calls for justice to be attributed. «

Finally, Maria Karystianou talked about the continuation of the struggle for the truth about the tragic accident, arguing that the relatives of the victims have « lost all confidence in the Greek judicial system.

« At the pace of things, there will never be a fair trial. So, now we want to go to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, « Maria Karystianou said, stressing that the first steps are expected to be taken in the near future.

« As we no longer have confidence in the Greek system of justice, our only hope is now justice in Europe, » concluded Maria Karystianou.
