BRATISLAVA. Slovak hockey players under 18 years of age did not score a goal for the World Championship for the second time in a row, but this time it did not spoil them.
While they lost in Espoo last year after the failed first period clearly 0: 4, in Texas, they reached a very valuable scalp at the beginning of the championship.
The four -time world champions of this age category overcame 1: 0 after separate raids, when the goalkeeper Michal Šelada glared with 34 interventions.
« The match was thrilling from the beginning to the end. I tried to do only my robot and first of all I am satisfied with the performance of the whole team.
All the guys worked and I think we deserved to win, « said the best player of the Slovak team for Hockey Slovakia.
Kubin ace from sleeves
A native of Dolny Kubin started the current season in the eighteen project, but at the turn of the year he decided to try happiness in US USHL.

Mišiak knew what he wanted to do
The eighteen -year -old goalkeeper won a seat at the U20 World Championship last year in Ottawa, where he covered the back of Alan Alan and Samuel Urban. Although he did not get a chance as a goalie, he gained valuable experience in preparation.
« In some way, we were preparing it for this championship under 18 so that the representation has such support. I am glad he confirmed it.
I believe that it will continue in these performances and may be the MVP of the whole tournament, « said Kosa after a match at the JOJ Sport Studio.

« I enjoyed the match incredibly. Winning over the Finns is not every day. I find it hard to find words because there is still a euphoria in me. We will certainly want to present ourselves in the whole tournament and win every match, » he added.
Another match in the group A is waiting for young representatives on Thursday when they challenge the hot aspirant for gold. At 23.00 they will start against Canada.
