We are unique in the region with whom Britain has such an agreement, we are ready and motivated to implement capital projects
Our ambition is to be different from previous governments and implement projects, primarily infrastructure. We are ready and very motivated. In fact, the speed at which we have reached these two agreements – the government with the government and strategic partnership, is the best confirmation of what we are talking about. What I am particularly proud of is that this is the first agreement of its kind that the UK signs with anyone in the region that shows that Macedonia sees it as its strongest partner in the region, says Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski in an interview with MIA.
– The best confirmation of what we are talking about is that we have the UK on the other side. It is worldwide number two, nuclear power, a member of the Security Council, a World War II winner country and the only royal empire that survived the world. So it is not by accident that they sign with us contracts and it is not that they sign with everyone contracts. As I said we are the only one in the whole region with whom they have signed agreements – says Nikoloski on the issue of public remarks over the capacity of the Government to implement the projects set out in the agreement signed with the Government of the United Kingdom.
In the interview, he also talks about the terms of use of the contract money, when the first field activities for the planned projects will occur, and announces the possibility of entering the low -cost Irish carrier Ryanair on the Macedonian market.
Deputy Prime Minister Nikoloski and British Minister of Economy and Export Gareth Thomas signed an agreement in London on Thursday on the partnership for the realization of infrastructure projects, with which the country receives historically the largest volume of funds of five billion pounds for realization of capital projects. Projects of the Agreement and Strategic Partnership is expected to encourage economic growth and improve the lives of citizens in the country, and bilateral relations between the two countries to rise to a new level.
The second agreement on the start -up partnership between Macedonia and the United Kingdom, which describes the overall political and economic framework of cooperation between the states, will be signed by the two Prime Ministers Christian Mickoski and Kir Starmer in the next period – Nikoloski said.
