« We are not to be grasped! » Democracy and police force addresses
Vienna has anger in his stomach. 40,000 demonstrators move through the Danubeetropolis: lateral thinkers, conspiracy ideologists, democracy communities – quite a few of them. And when the demo train continues, a dead demonstrator remains on the street between empty beer cans and crushed plastic cups. Was it a high -spirited policeman who struck a little too hard in the hectic crowd with the truck?
This is the initial question in Vienna crime scene « We are not to be grasped » (ARDSunday, 8:15 p.m.). It is already the 35th common case of investigators Bibi Fellner and Moritz Eisner (Adele Neuhauser and Harald Krassnitzer), who will go to the well-deserved crime scene pension in the coming year. The duo immediately starts work – and first of all your own colleagues targeted. They are not very pleased with the violent fire in the violent hustle and bustle. The train driver, whom Fellner feels on the tooth, says goodbye with typical Viennese grant: « We go a ‘weng the democracy if it is right. »

Speaking of grant: there is a bad mood in « We are not to be grasped » on every corner. Aggressive enemies of the state on the one hand, angry police officers on the other, and annoyed investigators between the fronts. The mood is supported by cinematic means: the hectic cut and the shaky handheld camera ensure the whole film for unrest and stress – which fits well, but will also be very exhausting in the long run.
The thematic is « We are not to be grasped » a direct hit, no question. Not only since yesterday The mood is boiling in Germany And Austria alike, almost get used to the fact that permanent-excited screaming necks on the street question the meaning and legitimation of our democracy-and reports on violent clashes with the police are unfortunately more of everyday life as an exception. The « crime scene » takes up razor -sharp and clever. At one point, an intelligence agent analyzes the demonstrators: « Against the elites, against the mainstream-not so important. The main thing is that you are against it. Then get attention, feel unique. This is a kind of collective narcissism, I, I, I. The opposite of ‘We’. » A statement to frame.
« Crime scene » from Vienna: clever topic, but inadequate implementation
As clever this thriller is in some places, it looks overwhelmed in many others. The rather thin murder case cannot wear the film for over 90 minutes. So a right -wing extremist, internationally linked conspiracy is mixed in, which plans no less than the seizure of power in Austria. The real references are obviously – Prince Reuss greets – but here the film also hurts in a hurry, which are far above its collar width. In general, the scene of the democracy gegen in many places seems badly oversubscribing as if you had to distort such people. Those who break up this scene so primitive does not do a favor, but only pour oil into an already charged mixture. The attached conspiracy box, meanwhile, is excessively underdeveloped, comes too suddenly and looks more ridiculous than threatening: a few important spinners with omnipotence fantasies, flap. Oh well.
In the end, you have to sum up: Here you can confidently leave the television and prefer to demonstrate yourself – ideally for democracy, not against it. Of course, without violence and well registered, of course!
