Outstanding sales have multiplied compared to the same period last year. Summer flowers, pallet oil, timber and barbecue sell like hot lumps around the country and the mood in the stores has been lively and positive according to Magnús.
Summer Flowers and Palla oil most popular
« We have seen a huge increase in the sale of platform oil and platforms, it actually started as early as April, » says Magnús. « The Palla oil has been particularly popular, a real explosion there. »
There is also a lot of sales of summer flowers, which have been successful in cultivation in Iceland this year. Despite increased attendance, Magnús says the company has prepared well for the summer.
Mindful weather increases joy
« We see an increase in the barbecues, quite a lot, especially now last weekend. »
Magnús says the staff has felt the joy of customers. « It has been an incredibly fun atmosphere in the camp. Everyone is so happy and positive, despite the fact that there is a lot to do. The weather seems to have a direct impact on people’s mood and on the sale. »
According to Magnús, sales are these days with the best that the Húsasmidjan has experienced at this time of year, for several years.
« I don’t think we have seen this last year or the other four. People are planning to take advantage of the summer and it is very fun to see this joy, both with customers and employees. «
