« The public space related to the » Unirii Square « area, which includes the critical infrastructure objectives – the Union floor and the Union passage, endangers both the circulation of cars and pedestrians, as a result of new concrete plates covering the distribution system of the thermal agent.

Details and worrying images, which surprise the slats and ruptures of the concrete under the asphalt, as well as the urgent solutions to be implemented have been explained today, April 28, by the mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluță, during a press conference.

Before suffering from a series of public statements, the mayor of Sector 4 paid a visit to the freshly opened site in the Union area, where, along with journalists, he observed the huge danger that leaves the center of Bucharest, a danger that the general mayor, Nicușor Dan, ignores and even perpetuates the public, refusing the public, quoted.

« As you can see, the entire Unirii Square area is a clock bomb. The postponement of the safety works represents a gross unconsciousness. This structure is part of the Union Passage complex and it is very important because under it, it is the subway. « For six months we asked for urbanism certificate to be able to enter and work on the Union passage. And this work has already provided and this work is considered an emergency. What has alerted us is this document. It is a document issued by a Termoenergetica contractor, a company subordinated to the City Hall of Bucharest. broken pipes go to the subway gallery, ”said the mayor of Sector 4.

Daniel Băluţă explained that the contractor states in the document that portions of the road area were enclosed on Dimitrie Cantemir Boulevard, on the side with the Israel Embassy, ​​including at the intersection of Radu Voda street with Dimitrie Cantemir Boulevard.

« This surgery of fence of the road area, with the deviation of the traffic, is absolutely necessary, considering the condition of the gallery in which the 800 diameter district heating pipes are replaced. Daniel Băluţă warned, again, that the Unirii area has become « a clock bomb » and that, in the absence of urgent measures, a tragedy can happen.

There is the possibility that the ambassador car falls into the direct subway gallery. There is the possibility that on the other side, there is a hospital. Pass.

He continued and resumed the idea that, for the protection of people, the works in the area should have started in an emergency.
