Water Treasure of the Forestry

The latter, missing 1% water is extracted from the ground at the « Leśnica » water treatment plant. Only the residents of Leśnica and the surrounding streets use the tap produced here. Daily it is about 1-2 thousand. m3 of water. Here, the raw material is captured from a depth of 128-134 meters, which means that its quality matches the values ​​of the purest, spring water. – It undergoes a similar treatment process as in the water production plant « on the dyke ». Part of the iron and manganese is removed from the water in the so -called iron, where it is intensively oxygenated, and iron and manganese pass into the forms of unrestrained and precipitate from the water. Later, the water is cleaned on hurried and slow filters filled with gravel and sand after them is disinfected, and then pressed into the tank at the top of the tower with a capacity of 250 m3 – says Martyna Bańcerek from MPWiK.
