Watch out for the weather Armageddon over Poland – storms with downpour and hail
The most dangerous weather phenomena are expected at the waist from Lower Silesia and Lubuska LandBy Greater Poland and Kujawy, up to Warmia and The western part of Masuria. Synoptics also do not rule out the uprising air trumpery.
Hail storms, strong winds and downpours
Storms over Poland bring intensive rainfall-up to 30 mm, up to 50 mm locally, hail with a diameter of 4-5 cm and wind gusts up to 80 km per hour. IMGW warns that Storm cells will move from the southwest to the northeast of the country.

IMGW issued the first and second degree warnings. First -degree alerts apply from Suwałki after Opole region and on northwest.
Second, higher degree of danger announced, among others In:
- province Lower Silesia,
- the southern part of the province Lubuskie,
- most of Greater Poland,
- province Kujawsko-Pomorskie,
- in the eastern and southern part of Pomerania,
- in central and western poviats of Warmia and Mazury.
On the other hand Government Security Center sent Weather alerts to the inhabitants of the voivodships:
- Greater Poland,
- Kujawsko-Pomorskie,
- Lower Silesia,
and parts of the voivodships:
- Pomeranian,
- Lubuskie,
- Mazowieckie,
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
Possible stormy cells
Polish storm hunters have issued a second -degree convection forecast for regions particularly exposed to violent atmospheric phenomena. Forecast stormy supercells and the entry of a larger, organized storm system from the Czech Republic.
It is also possible that the storm will take the form Bow Echo – a arched storm system that can carry very strong gusts of wind.

Where’s the heat?
Although a stormy aura dominates over the north of the country, The southern regions record heat. In Kolbuszowa in Podkarpacie and Cieszyn in Silesia, thermometers indicated today as much as 29 degrees Celsius. Interestingly, these regions – like the Lublin region, Lesser Poland and the Świętokrzyska land – will remain free from stormy weather today.
