A woman living in an apartment building on Baltijos Avenue said she sees a man living in another apartment block almost every morning, who, when opened by the windows of her balcony, threw various waste from the gulls.

It is forbidden to throw food or its residue through the windows or from the balconies.
Another woman shared what « gifts » received from her neighbor at Easter.
« Budelkiemio g. 17, I want to congratulate the non -lifted that poured out the window waste. There is a trash, not the window you need to pour everything. Maybe you want to come to clean what you have poured? » – asked a Klaipėda resident and published a video showing a window frame and window sill filled with uncertain waste.
Received complaints every year
According to Albinas Misevičius, the head of the administrative activity, control and prevention department of Klaipeda Municipality, it is forbidden to throw any waste through windows or balconies.
« According to the description of the procedure for keeping the animal in the area of Klaipėda City Municipality, as well as in accordance with the Law on Animal Welfare and Protection, it is prohibited to feed homeless, unrivaled and wildlife at public or general use, as well as apartment buildings on balconies or through windows. It is forbidden to throw food or balconies. »
According to him, the department receives reports that residents feed on the birds in an unauthorized way.

Also complains of stools
« Concerned residents turn to the department to maintain a clean and neat home environment, because by throwing food through balconies or windows, the walls of the house, windows, and cluttered home access are outlasting, » the manager said.
Upon receipt of the notice and establishing an infringement, there are sanctions under the Code of Administrative Offenses – a fine of between EUR 30 and EUR 120.
« During the spring period, notifications are most commonly received to unattended, abandoned territories, non -trash or accumulation of garbage collection sites. There are also complaints of pigeon stools and carcasses on the upper floors of apartment blocks on the common balconies, » said Misevicius.
