Jared Isaacman is said to have donated money to Democrats, the voice does not agree with Trump’s “America First” agenda, the White House explained.
According to the White House, the billionaire and space tourist Jared Isaacman nominated by US President Donald Trump will not take over the management of the NASA space authority. The White House thus confirmed a report by the “New York Times”, according to which Isaacman’s nomination was withdrawn. According to the newspaper, Trump had found that Isaacman should have made donations to Democratic MPs in the past.

Isaacman is the founder of the « Shift4 » payment service and the « Draken International » aviation company for military services. The 42-year-old maintains close contacts with Trump’s recently resigned government advisor Elon Musk. With its space company SpaceX, Isaacman flown twice. In 2021 he was part of the first crew in space, which was only consisting of amateur astronauts and, together with three other space drivers, circulated around the earth for almost three days. In September 2024, he took part in the « Polaris Dawn » mission with three other space tourists, where they hovered at around 1,400 kilometers and also briefly got out of their spaceship.
« It is rare to find someone who is so competent and generous, » Musk reacted to the statement to the personnel in online service X. Musk himself was responsible for bureaucracy after Trump’s office in his government. After four months as a special consultant of Trump, the Tech billionaire finally announced his retreat from the White House this week.
