The head of the Special Prosecution, Altin Dumani, has appeared at a joint conference with the Chief Prosecutor of Bari, Roberto Rossi, and the director of the Italian mafia, Michele Carbone, who have provided details of the extensive anti -drug operation of Italy – Albania.
In his speech, Dumani said:
« This is another important step against organized crime. It has been a blow to one of the most powerful criminal groups in Albania, in drug trafficking and money laundering. It was hit one of the most powerful criminal groups in the country. This is an example of what can be achieved if institutions cooperate. Extraordinary contribution.

While the chief prosecutor of Bari said:

This operation led to the arrest of 40 people in Albania and Italy and the seizure of Asthes several million euros.
In Italy are seized:
• 9 apartments,
• 4 companies,
• 7 bank accounts and
• 3 vehicles.
In Albania they are seized:
• luxury restaurants,
• a television network,
• an real estate agency and
• Construction company.
