Last Sunday, May 18, there was a burglary on Wyzwolenia Street in Piotrków Kujawski. A policeman who was after service noticed a suspicious man with a shop warehouse. Thanks to the quick reaction of the officer, a 52-year-old resident of the Radziejów poviat was detained in the act.

Theft of foodstuffs
The detained man broke the front door with a hammer and stole foods worth several hundred zlotys. After detention, he was sent to police custody, where Piotrków policemen determined that he also had other deeds on his conscience.
Removal of the state flag
At the beginning of May, on 1 Maja Street in Piotrków Kujawski, the man twice broke the state flag from the private property. The police found one of the flags at the place of residence of the detainee. The 52-year-old heard allegations of burglary and public removal of the state flag.
Possible legal consequences
The man’s deeds are punishable by a year to ten years imprisonment. The case is pending, and policemen collect evidence that will be transferred to the prosecutor’s office.
