Was acquitted for driving – altaposten.no
A man from Tromsø was indicted for intoxication in Alta with an alcohol promille of 1.47. It must have happened this winter, but when the case went to Vestre Finnmark District Court, he did not admit.
Should only sleep a little
In court, the man explained that he and his girlfriend were visiting Alta. A quarrel made him end in the car. After starting the car for a little heat, he explained that he turned it off and fell asleep.
Meanwhile, the police were notified of possible driving and that some were worried. The phone was tracked and first knocked out one place in Alta, before it knocked out another place 18 minutes later.
When the police found the man, there was a wheel track on the ground where he was parked. In court, there was thus a question of whether the defendant had gone or driven when he moved while the cellphone was tracked.
– The court’s majority indicates that the tracking showing movement at 18 minutes in isolation may indicate that the defendant has gone. Furthermore, even though tires and wheel arches are wet, the sides of the screens are dry and this indicates that the car has been driven other than from Tromsø earlier in the evening. It cannot be ruled out that driving from Tromsø has collected moisture/ice/slap in the wheel arch that is about to run offthe court writes.
The drummer was thus acquitted.
