The building at Jasna 14, in which a suspicious package was found, is the seat of the European Union’s information point and the European Parliament office in Poland. So far, it is not known what exactly the object left. The services carry out checking activities and the area is constantly secured.

The incident occurred just after 15. The services received a notification about a suspicious item left in the building at 14 Jasna Street. Police patrols and pyrotechnic units were immediately sent to the place. Due to the potential threat of the explosion, the decision was made to evacuate both people in the building and passers -by located near it.
About 200 people were evacuated. Actions are carried out by specialists – sappers have already appeared on the spot.
Traffic jams in the center of Warsaw
The police completely closed the quarter of the streets covering Świętokrzyska, Plac Powstańców Warszawy, Moniuszko and Jasna. There are significant traffic difficulties in the area – ul. Świętokrzyska was completely congested, which caused serious delays in vehicle running.
