District Prosecutor’s Office Warsaw-Śródmieście supervises the proceedings against Eryk B. (22 years old), Natalia G.-J. (39 years old), suspected of having significant amounts of alprazolam and morphine in the Nowowiejski hospital, and for making them available to others – said on Tuesday a spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, Piotr Antoni Siba.

The tragedy occurred in the morning from Friday to Saturday (April 11/12) at the 3rd branch of the Nowowiejski Hospital in Warsaw. Preliminary findings show that at night several patients met, which probably did not know the staff of the institution. Participants of the event were to take psychoactive substances. In two men there was a sudden cardiac arrest.
– On Saturday, four patients were hospitalized with symptoms of severe intoxication with undefined substances, while one of the patients died despite intensive rescue. Determining the cause of the death of the deceased and determining which substances have been adopted by the hospital patients will be possible after autopsy and toxicological tests – noted Prosecutor Skiba.
In view of both suspects, the court took into account the prosecutor’s conclusions and applied a three -month detention.
– The proceedings are multi -threaded, it is at the initial stage. Due to the good of the preparatory proceedings, we do not provide broader information in this case – informs the prosecutor’s spokesman.
