Wants the guests to find the music inside

Musician Ragnhildur Gísladóttir was in the new Perlan exhibition hall this morning when a new purchase agreement was signed between the City of Reykjavik and the Pearl Development Company ehf.

Before coming to the signing, guests got the eyes of a new volcanic show that will be opened next month, with which Ragnhildur composed the music. There, the audience is taken on a trip into the earth with the associated magma and then back from there.

The exhibition is impressive.

« Very fun »

« I have been with the music in the Pearl like in the starry and with all the pictures that are being shown here and this is really fun, » says Ragnhildur, who talked to the journalist after the show.

She claims to have been assisted by Peter Jónsson from Mediaux and Styrmis Hauksson, as well as Gunnar Gunnarsson from the Frikkirkjan church provided her with a choir for the composition.

« This is a journey. I immediately saw the script for me and could start working immediately to do this music, » she reports.

All around

Ragnhildur says it is necessary for an exhibition like this that the music list is multifaceted for it to fill the environment well all around. « When you have this around you, you don’t want to see where the sound comes from. You just want to be in the music, that you find it, it’s inside you as soon as the picture is inside you, » explains the musician, who is hopefully happy with the result.
