Wanted for sexual offenses detained in the vicinity of Kartuz

Officers from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk also participated in the activities. The man has been hiding in Poland since March, working in the meat processing plant.

Stopping in the motel in Pomerania

The man, wanted from mid -April, was detained in one of the motels in Pomerania. Despite changing the environment and work at the plant, he failed to avoid arrest. Cooperation of Podlasie « Shadow Hunters » with Lithuanian policemen led to the establishment of his place of stay.

European arrest warrant

The European arrest warrant was issued less than 48 hours before stopping. Lithuanian services chased a man for sexual offenses for children, for whom he was to be punished with 11 years imprisonment. The detainee was sent to police custody, and currently actions are underway to transfer it to the Lithuanian side.

International cooperation

The detention was possible thanks to close international cooperation. Podlasie « Shadow Hunters » and Lithuanian policemen successfully joined forces to arrest the wanted. The man hoped that in Poland he would remain unnoticed, but the determination of officers proved to be crucial.
