VVD passes Karremans as Minister Economic Affairs
The VVD has announced on Friday Who will enter the released PVV posts in the outgoing cabinet. Vincent Karremans is the new Minister of Economic Affairs. In addition, Judith Tielen becomes State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport and Thierry Aartsen will work as outgoing State Secretary for Infrastructure and Water Management.
Karremans and Aartsen follow the resigned PVV ministers Dirk Beljaarts (Economic Affairs) and Chris Jansen (infrastructure). Tielen ends up on Karremans’s released mail himself. Like Archangers, she was a member of the House of Representatives for the VVD. The trio will serve the cabinet in a outgoing role until, after the elections that will be held at the end of October, a new cabinet will take place.
The PVV blew the cabinet last week out of disagreement about the asylum policy. The PVV left the coalition and all PVV ministers therefore left the cabinet. A number of released PVV posts has since been completed: earlier in the day it was announced that BBB’er Eddie van Marum Zolt Szabó is replacing as State Secretary for Digitization.
