Volunteers do not take Easter holidays – altaposten.no
Finally, Easter is here again. I would like to take the opportunity to pay tribute to those who set aside Easter to work as a volunteer.
Most of us use the holiday to relax with family and friends. At the same time, thousands of volunteers set aside their valuable leisure time to help give people a safe Easter eg. on the mountain or sea. Their readiness probably also saves life at Easter.
I especially want to highlight those who are volunteers on the rescue skates of the Rescue Company, at the Red Cross Relief Corps, and not least those who receive all the conversations to the help phones. They are all fiery souls, who deserve salaries for their efforts for the community.
Of their 53 rescue skates, 26 are operated by volunteers. Only 20 percent of their budget funds from the public. That is the respect.
They not only deserve boast, but also that society facilitates them to have a good framework in order to help others. Frp will stimulate increased voluntary efforts by providing the organizations with regulated VAT compensation. It makes no sense that they have to pay VAT to the state for their important work for society.
I want to end with the rescue company’s call to everyone planning their first boat trip during Easter: Check that the boat is in good condition, take a life jacket and dress well – and make sure you can notify if the accident is still out.
