VMRO-DPMNE announces 25 names for mayoral candidates
VMRO-DPMNE’s Executive Committee tonight determined a list of 25 candidates for mayor who will participate in the pre-local elections. For the candidate for Mayor of the City of Skopje, the surveys and analysts are still underway.
General Secretary -General Gjorgjija Sajkoski said after the session that these were 25 candidates, most of whom showed their work as mayors so far.
-VMRO-DPMNE and candidates proposed by the party’s IK are convincingly leading all polls in the municipalities for which they are proposed. All candidates who have been selected have passed the citizens’ test for the past four years, and the polls are confirmed. All candidates proposed by VMRO-DPMNE lead 4, and in some municipalities and 5: 1. All candidates meet all the qualities for mayor. It is honest, responsible, working and expeditious people. Most of them are already existing mayors, who have made a real transformation in their municipalities, and the other part are people who have the strength and knowledge to change the pace of work in the municipalities that have so far been led by SDSM staff – said Sajkoski.

Sajkoski added that at the same time internal party elections for councilors, through local committees and municipal committees, whereby non -party citizens can freely engage to make their own suggestions for councilors.
-The community needs to build state goals. We urge everyone to overcome themselves and put Macedonia above all. With the candidates proposed by VMRO-DPMNE we believe that can happen. IK has pointed out that Macedonia is in an election period, which will decide Macedonia whether it will be completely on the road to transformation. It has been concluded that in all municipalities the desire for growth, development, improvement of the quality of life of the citizens prevails. We expect victory everywhere. Macedonia will win. A new time is coming – said Sajkoski.
Asked by a journalist about who will be the candidate for the Mayor of the City of Skopje, he said that the analysis and polls of the IC from the IK and the houses they have engaged in surveys are still underway. He emphasized that there are more and more names, some of which are already mentioned as the Minister of Local Self -Government Zlatko Perinski and the Mayor of the Municipality of Kisela Voda Orce Gjorgievski.
-The next announcement of candidates should be until June 10, and then we will see as the dynamics with the other candidates will be the name of the candidate for the City of Skopje. We aim to choose the best candidate for the City of Skopje so that we can help the houses maximally through the central and through the local government to have a better quality of life-said VMRO-DPMNE Secretary General Gjorgjija Sajkovski.
