Vlatka Pokos about the election: ‘The sad day for Split, did you thank Puljak? Zagreb is safe … ‘
Singer Vlatka Pokos commented on the results of local elections on social networks and especially referred to the new city government in Split. In the second round of local elections, the citizens of Split chose HDZ’s Tomislav Shut who won 30.586, and Ivica Puljak 26,921 votes of voters.
In the announcement, Pokos wrote that she is currently in a ‘positive and happy life phase’, but that she has to express her deep disappointment with the results of the election in Split.
– It is inconceivable and small to choose thieves instead of honesty, Krkanluk and savagery instead of knowledge and decency. I am afraid that there is no salvation or future in a country that is unable to distinguish between good and evil – she wrote, adding that the people of Split « chose the worst possible option in a country that will take them back in back. »
– They chose a man who has been protecting the brothers of criminals for years who steal the Croatian national treasure, openly and cheeky laughing in the face of every honest citizen of Croatia. Why do Croats persistently choose thieves and parasites to run cities and land? The sad truth about Croatia – she said, pointing out that Split ‘penetrated, became nicer, arranged and more cultural in every way’, but now that ‘thieves and harmless terraces, ATMs, kiosks and bars on the beach’ are coming back.
– This is how the people of Split thanked Puljak for the beautiful Žnjan and Diocletian’s cellars? she asked and told Puljak that she could ‘go with her head raised and pure cheeks’, adding that it was a ‘sad day for Split’.
She also briefly referred to the elections in Zagreb, where Tomislav Tomasevic received a new term.
« Thank God, Zagreb is in safe hands, » she wrote and congratulated him.
