Vitosha Vision of Vasil Terziev wants a new Simeonov lift, but if it doesn’t, there is also plan B

The private company-owner of almost all rope lines was ready to invest 100 million euros in their renewal. This, with hope, explained Terziev on the presentation of his « Vision for Vitosha » in Hall 6 of the National Palace of Culture, before admitting that there is a plan B, which will begin as early as the end of this summer, if the first plan does not go until then.

He explicitly emphasized that « the development of the ski area will fit into the current parameters » of the present, and the reserves of Bistrishko and peat harrow, as well as the seafront to remain untouched and the trees do not decrease.

Plan B is to restore the Dragalev lift

Plan B by Terziev includes as the first step the restoration of the Dragalev lift to the Bai Krustyu station from the Sofia Municipality, and will then look for the invested funds from the owner Vitosha Ski. For this purpose, a large buffer parking lot will be built for 150-200 cars over Dragalevtsi. Along the Dragalevska River, a bicycle lane will be made from Sofia to the mountain. The municipality will build a large buffer parking lot in Boyana quarter, as well as three smaller ones in Simeonovo, Bistritsa and another approach to the mountain. From there, the bus lines with shortened routes will upload tourists up. The aim is to make the mountain of Sofia for year -round tourism and that all facilities can be used during all four seasons. Volunteers to help mark the trails

The Vitosha Vision also includes key initiatives that the municipality will take this year. The Vision for Sofia project also includes filing all huts, some of which are municipal, others are BTS, others are already private.

Terziev’s vision is to make Sofia the center of this institutional fragmentation of the responsibilities for Vitosha Park without the municipality being perceived as # 1. « We must all work together, as the Sofia Municipality will not interfere in the territory of any other ministry and institution.
