BRATISLAVA. Markiza moderator Viktor Vincze only learned today that he should end up in the main television newspaper and move elsewhere.

« The director of the Center of Intelligence and Publication Michal Kratochvíl told me this morning that I will not be a TV newspaper moderator since June 2025, about two weeks, » Vincze writes on Instagram.

Instead, he was offered to operate in the newly emerging website – TN Live.

Television today announced the changes in the composition of the moderators of the news program in a press release, saying that the project for the younger audience is also moving the youngest moderator pair from television newspaper – Vincze and Zuzana Čimová.

Vincze is supposed to have a special daily news program Special in the new online project, and it is a summary of key events that will be broadcast twice a day in online format.

At the same time, Vincze says that this is an offer conceived so that he cannot accept it in the show, « which he heard for the first time today ».

« Despite the fact that I did not approve anything, the television sent a press release to the media, which shows that I will be a new online moderator, as if everything was already agreed and clear, » writes the moderator. He adds that this is how they look « the consequences of defense of journalistic values ​​and employee rights ».

Since October last year, Vincze has been on television news trade unions on which he stood after the well -known moderator of the political show on the body Michal Kovačič. The trade unions were critical of the management, Kovačič stood up and also pointed out the interventions in the work of the news editors of the most watched private television.

« At first they reached my salary, then Let’s Dance and today TV newspapers. And all because I refused to be quiet, » adds Vincze, adding that his colleague Čimová will lose his job « just because of » him.

Vincze moves from the TV screen only shortly after the News and Media Holding media from the Penta Financial Group portfolio has brought articles on how a group of Marquise employees allegedly does not identify with the direction of news trade unions under Vincze’s leadership. The changes were responded by news employees who addressed a letter to the General Director of Markiza Petr Gažík and expressed a « sharp disagreement » with the steps of the leadership.

« The transfer of Viktor Vincze and Zuzana Čimová from the moderator’s post in TN to TN Live’s positions cannot be perceived differently than bullying and eliminating the uncomfortable person – and none of the presented arguments has convinced us the opposite, » writes editors and other domestic news workers. They also claim that Michal Kratochvíl did not talk to Vincz from the screen before.

« We perceive this decision as an effort to get rid of the top moderator and our colleague for standing at the forefront of the trade unions, » the signed employees add.

They ask the director to withdraw the announced changes and discuss them.

« Only this in our opinion will prevent the irreversible disruption of the editorial office, which stands the most watched news program in Slovakia, » they added.

Vincze, along with other news editors in Markiza, began to draw attention to tense relations on television a year ago. In May 2024 Kovačič in a live broadcast of the show on the body spoke about attempts to censor in the news editorial.

The television was then created news unions headed by Kovačič, which after his testimony took over Vincze. The management of news and television asked « compliance with the basic principles of free journalism ».
