Vienna – Diepress.com reaches the protest train of Serbian cyclists
Serbia’s students have been demonstrating against corruption and willingness to power for months. In order to draw attention to the grievances of Europe, 80 activists cycle to Strasbourg. They stopped in Vienna on Monday.
Belgrade/Vienna. « Idemo v Beeeeeeč » – « We drive to Weeeeen », posted a Serbian activist on Instagram before the cycling demonstrators made their way to the Austrian capital. In the evening, the entourage should arrive on Maria-Theresien-Platz. They wanted to receive hundreds of sympathizers from the Serbian community. A red carpet was rolled out between natural history and art -historical museum. The activists from Vienna organized sleeping places for around 80 cyclists, prepared food and even contacted psychologists and doctors in the event of an event.
At the weekend, even the head of the city in Budapest had opened up to the enthusiastic reception of the Serbian cycling demonstrators. In Hungary, « many people » support the struggle of the Serbian students, the opposition mayor Gergely Karácsony assured the reporter of the Serbian TV station N1: « We are very happy that they are here. Because the pact of the powerful must counter the democrats of both countries. »
