Today, there was a shooting at a school in Graz. According to initial information, at least nine people, including students, were killed, while the attacker was found dead in the school toilet. The striker, who was a student of that school according to police sources, opened fire in two classrooms and then committed suicide.

Social networks are spreading shots of the terrible massacre. Shots and bursts are clearly heard, and students are seen running out of school in panic. Police do not exclude the possibility that another perpetrator participated in the attack.

– He shot in two classrooms. I heard about 20 shots, ”the witness said.

The Ministry of the Interior confirms that there are more dead and seriously injured. According to police spokesman Fritz Grundy, the perpetrator probably committed suicide. The official police report is still awaited.

We spoke with a Croat currently in Graz.

– The striker is a former student and ruled himself, a lot of wounded. There are also harder wounded, from students and professors, there is still drama. Helicopters come every now and then. Now the police are searching the whole school right now, ”he told us.

The approach is impossible, three blocks of streets blocked, he adds.

– Some have assisted in a neighboring building, others take them to the hospital. They were just parents to come for their children – he claims.
