Ivica Kostelic won his last globe 12 years ago in a super combination and also the last for Croatian skiing. Since then, none of our skiers were nowhere near, and then a diamond called Zrinka Ljutić (21).

A few years ago, she showed that she was a glittering future in front of her. She was not compared to Janica, she slowly built her career, two years ago she came to the first podium, and everything coincided this season in which she wrote the history of Croatian skiing. Her dream came true in the American Sun Valley.
Our skier won a small crystal globe in slalom and experienced what many of our athletes dream of, but rarely experience. She stood on the highest staircase of a podium with a globe in her hands, and in that moment the Croatian anthem played. Emotions in it erupted and everything came to the surface. A tear came down the cheeks, a moment of pride, joy and happiness she dreamed of and finally fulfilled. She was proudly looking at the Globe, as if she couldn’t believe she was really in her hands. We believe that many and in their homeland dripped a tear of pride because we have our athlete again on top.
Only she and her team know how much she had to give up and work hard to get to this level. And only at 21 years. And believe me, this is just the beginning, our Zrinka is just the sky limit.
