Video BMW frantically chasing Paris, 13 injured: ‘It’s a miracle that no one died!’
Thirteen people were injured in a chain collision after a waving chase of BMW on the streets of Paris. After refusing to stop at the request of the police, a few kilometers followed, the Paris Prosecutor’s Office said.
It all started around 5:45 in the morning. The BMW driver went through a red light and then refused to stop at a police sign. The driver is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the chase. The chase then continued through the 15th Arondisman, where the driver lost control of the car and hit the traffic light pillar. Two police vehicles that were his heels then rammed into him.

One witness told Le Parisien that he initially thought « stacked and crushed cars part of the movie set. » The armed police officers pulled out of the vehicle after the collision. They pulled one passenger out of the car and knocked it to the ground, showing recordings of security cameras.
Ten police officers sustained minor injuries and was detained in the hospital, but were soon discharged. Two passengers arrested and were transported to hospital with injuries that are not life -threatening. The vehicle was not reported as stolen, and the course of toxicological testing for the presence of drugs and alcohol for all three. These are people aged 30, 22 and 19 years. Two of them are previously known to the Parisian authorities. The two have criminal records.
