At the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, the final of which was held in Basel yesterday, May 17, the representative of Austria Johannes Pitch, who performed under the stage name JJ, with the composition of WasteD Love (“Very Love”) won. He scored a total of 436 points: 258 from the international jury and 178 from viewers. The second place went to Israel, Estonia in the third.

The second place was taken by the Israeli singer Juval Rafael with the song New Day Will Rise – 357 points (297 from spectators and 60 from the jury).
The third was the representative of Estonia Tommy Cache with the Espresso Macchiato track, which scored 356 points (98 from the jury and 258 from viewers). From the second place he was separated by only one point – the struggle for leadership turned out to be so dense and tense.

This is one of the best results of Estonia in the history of her participation in the competition. Earlier, the country was part of the fifth strongest in 1996-(5th place, Maarya-Liis Ilus and Ivo Linna-Kaelakee Hääl), in 2000 (4th place, Ines-Once in a Lifetime), in 2001 (1st place, Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2xl- EVERYBODY), in 2002 (3rd place, Salen-Runaway).
