Victory against Trump: Judge wins election in Wisconsin
For the first time since the election of US President Donald Trump, the Democrats can again have greater success for themselves. The liberal candidate Susan Crawford emerged as the winner from the excited election to replace an important post at the Supreme Court in the US state of Wisconsin. The race was not only considered one of the most expensive for a judge’s office in US history-but also as a kind of referendum about Trump’s government and his familiar Elon Musk.
Musks millions are not enough either
The tech billionaire Musk, which has now been influenced, had declared the vote in Wisconsin to choose fate and supported the conservative candidate Brad Schimel with around $ 20 million. He traveled to the « Swing State » several times and was also committed to controversial money gifts for the conservative.
The election in Wisconsin was particularly important because it was about the majority at the Supreme Court of the State, which now remains liberal. His seven judges also decide in cases that can have importance nationwide – for example when tingeing electoral districts and questions of abortion law. Just like on the Supreme Court, the highest court in the United States, which has been conservatively shaped since Trump’s first term, can play an important role in the political orientation of the judges, especially in short majority decisions.

Again defeats in Florida – but this time more scarce
The Democrats also gave rise to two post-elections for the US Congress in Florida. Both applicants of the party were defeated in the Republican strongholds – but this time only with almost 14 or 15 percentage points behind. In the November election, the advantage of the Republican candidates was even more than twice as large. In some cases, the post -election results were seen as a sign that Trump and Musk’s radical approach has not been undisputedly under more republican -minded voters since the election.
