Veterinarian reveals: Here is what your dog’s race says about you

A veterinarian has gone viral after sharing his theory of what a dog’s breed says about its owner – and many agree.

As a veterinarian, Indya Woods often sees pets with their owners – both at work and when she is out with her own dogs. Over the years, she has noticed how different owners interact with their dogs, and have even made connections between dog breeds and the owner’s personality type.

Woods from Dallas in Texas told Newsweek that a dog’s breed can say a lot about the owner’s personality.

« I often see the bond between humans and animals – both in the hospital and when I meet pets and their owners in the city, » Woods said.

It turns out that a dog’s breed not only says something about the dog but also about the owner. So whether you have a shepherd dog, a labrador or maybe a burial dog, Woods explains what it reveals about you.

« Owners of shepherd dogs are, like their dogs, some of the most reliable, committed and stable people you can meet. Labrador owners are here to have fun-as long as they can enjoy nature and good food, they are satisfied, » she said.

« Spaniel owners are like little rays of sun. They love being around others and making other people’s day better. Grave dog owners look like me: One day we love to be out and have fun, the next day we just want to go home in bed and sleep for hours-with snacks, of course. »

Woods even have two so-called miniature grave dogs, which she thinks shows she loves to eat, sleep, enjoy life-and maybe talk a little too much.

She also claims that owners of burial dogs are generally very unpretentious people, but emphasizes that people can freely choose the breed that best suits them. However, there is one race she cannot completely decode: chihuahuas.

« Types of owners range tremendously, so it’s hard to find a pattern, » she told Newsweek.

She shared her theory in a video on social media Tiktok (@doctorindya), which has gone viral with over 919,900 views and 114,100 likes.

« Your dog’s breed says a lot about you and I refuse to believe otherwise, » she says in her video.

For example, she claims that Golden Retriever owners are relaxed ‘but get things done’, while Dobermann owners are very serious.

The reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. Many users agree with the analysis, while others have added their own bids.

« The reactions have been wildly fun to read. No matter how serious we are – or whether my theory hits spot – it is nice to be able to gather about our love for pets, » Woods said.

« French bulldog owners are so unpretentious, » wrote one user, while another wrote, « Corgi owners love fun and quirky. »

« Should we just skip boxer owners? We are chaotic, funny and loyal-it’s never boring with us, » wrote a third, after which a fourth wrote, « I have a shepherd dog and a grave dog. I must be a split soul. »
