Vesna opened the week at ‘Evening for 5’ and scored 38 points: ‘The cake was quite saturated and dry’
The first day of the week ‘Dinners for 5’ In Zagreb and Krapina-Zagorje County, it was hosted by Vesna in the village of Dukovec as part of the Sveti Križ Križ municipality. For her dinner, she scored 38 points – ten points from Diana, Juraj and Goran and eight of Carmen, whose cake was dry.
The housewife started the preparation with the ‘Yellow Gold’ area, homemade strudel for which she used homemade fresh cheese. Then she was preparing cocoa cubes with marmalade and whipped cream, a dessert she called ‘Ivan’s magic cubes’. After the main course, she finished the strudel and then prepared ‘Lashu’, a beef stew, pork and rabbit.
Vesna said she had no porch and that she was interested in who arrived at her dinner, and during that time the guests were just getting to know each other in the van on the way to Dukovac. « We are still all shy, we haven’t adjusted yet, but we have time all week, we are all open and I think it will be a good week, » Dijana said.
The team arrived Vesna, who gave them warmly with the aperitifs and met everyone. « The housewife seemed relaxed at the aperitif, as domestic, modestly, calmly, as she appealed to this area, » Juraj commented, and Vesna the guests liked the same, and said everyone seemed positive.
Homemade strudel for the appetizer liked the guests. Carmen and Diana commented that the appetizer was juicy and delicious, Juraj said: « The taste of the appetizer was great. I am not a professional, but the dough was homemade, delicious, salty and I am very pleased. » « Fantasy, » Goran concluded.
« The team seems great to me, it seems to me that we clicked on the first one, we get along well and it can only be even better, » Vesna’s guests concluded at the first night.
The main course served the housewife in the middle of the table so that everyone would take how much he suited him, to which the guests had no objections: « I would not serve the stew otherwise, the colors were beautiful and just what the stew should look like, » Juraj commented pleased.
The dessert did not delight the guests, but in principle they were satisfied. « The appearance of the cake was simple and everything was in line with expectations, my grandmother was preparing a similar one, so the dessert brought me back to my childhood, » said Juraj, and Goran added: « The cake as a cake, was fine and fine taste. » Still, Carmen was saturated and the biscuit remained dry despite the marmalade layer.
After dinner, the housewife distributed the gifts to the guests – 4 homemade cheese each, which everyone liked it, and then the team headed to the house where they were greeted by the band’s band ‘Plain’, who played and sang to the guests for surprise.
« Every honor has fifteen of them and everyone came here, sang and played. I even saw a lady with a crutch and two gentlemen who certainly have about ninety years so that every honor on enthusiasm and music, » Diana commented, who gave Vesna ten points for dinner, because she was great, as well as Goreno and Jura points.
