Venezuelan accused of attempted murder. He is threatened with life imprisonment
Dramatic events occurred on the night of Wednesday to Thursday (11/12 June), in the Toruń Glazja Park. Klaudia K. finished her work in the pub. 24-year-old barmaid, she was on her way home when she was attacked by 19-year-old Yomekert R.-S.

The man dealt a dozen or so blows with a knife to the head, neck and chest. As the prosecutor’s office reports, the attacker acted with great strength. The woman’s life was saved by a random witness who heard screams and reacted immediately. It was thanks to him that the attacker escaped from the scene, but he did not enjoy freedom for a long time. The police tracked him down a few streets and stopped him.
– The injured was saved by a witness who frightened the attacker – prosecutor Rafał Ruta, deputy spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Toruń, was informed.
Klaudia K. is fighting for life in the hospital
The 24-year-old condition is very serious. With extensive wounds, she was taken to a hospital, where doctors are still fighting for her life. The inhabitants of Toruń are shocked by what happened. The theme of the attack still remains a mystery. The prosecutor’s office does not rule out that it may have had a sexual basis, but for now does not reveal more details at this stage. At the scene of the incident, traces and a crime tool – a knife used by the attacker.
Who is the 19-year-old YomeYKERT R.-S.?
The arrested 19-year-old comes from Venezuela and has been in Poland legally since February this year. According to the prosecutor’s office, he did not work. Members of his family live in Poland, including mother. Details about his father are still unknown.
YomeYKERT R.-S. During the interrogation, he pleaded not guilty, and also refused to explain. He was charged with attempted murder. The District Court in Toruń on Friday (June 13) applied a three -month arrest against him. For what he did, he is threatened with life imprisonment.
