Vegetable fire out of control under control
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations announced on Saturday that the mission to extinguish the vegetation fire broke out a day ago in an area that is difficult in Citizeni, Argeș County. The affected area reached 10 to 24 hectares.
According to a press release, during the night from Friday to Saturday, mixed teams consisting of firefighters, workers of the Voluntary Emergency and Forestry Service remained in supervision.
On Saturday morning, the Black Hawk helicopter of the General Aviation Inspectorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has performed two specific personnel and technique of first intervention (firefighters and workers of the forest bypass) in the area of active outbreaks, where terrestrial access can be made.
Subsequently, the helicopter resumed the extinguishing mission.
To optimize the response mission were allocated: a water and foam extinguishing vehicle, a tank, a SMURD ambulance, a mobile control point, nine first intervention and order vehicles, a minibus and an ATV, IGSU said.
