VEF Riga basketball players win Ventspils in the decisive match and enter the semi-finals / day of the Latvian-Estonian League

VEF Riga won at home with a score of 87:74 (23:17, 24:26, 22:16, 18:15) and reached 2-1 in the series to two wins.

The Rigans with 22 points were the most successful in Isuel Sanon, who could not help the team in the final minutes of the match, as they fought five notes prematurely. Harrie had 19 points and four assists, Dairy Bertan 16 points, Ilya Sidorov 11 points and seven assists, while Vyacheslav Bobrov scored nine points and seven rebounds.

Michael Rendolf and Tom Lenkun scored 15 points and six rebounds for Ventspils, nine points scored by Perth Blomgren, Artūrs Ausējs and Rihards Bērze, while six points and ten balls under the baskets were Ronald Zakis.

In the first fight in Riga, VEF Riga won with 97:84, but in the second with 85:78, Ventspils was the winner, with a 1-1 draw in the series to two victories. In both Main Event, the Rigans won (71:63 and 89:84).

Last season, Slobozansk’s Prometey from Ukraine was the champions, which stopped operating in the summer and no longer played in LIBL this season.
