VDD has initiated criminal proceedings against Roslikov / day

Criminal proceedings have been initiated with the service of Roslikov’s statements at the Saeima sitting on June 5, as well as other recent activities.

The VDD reminded that the service has repeatedly been with the party’s « stability! » The manager has made preventive negotiations warning of the intended criminal liability in the event of a criminal offense.

The service did not comment further.

Despite the fact that Roslikov was elected to the Riga City Council, he still has a parliamentary mandate. The Rules of Procedure of the Saeima states that the Parliament’s Mandate, Ethics and Submissions Commission shall prepare a draft resolution of the Saeima regarding the application of the Prosecutor General’s Office for prosecution against a member of the Saeima, his arrest, arrest, detention, search or restriction of freedom of person.

LETA has already written that the VDD had also negotiated with Roslikov in early February in connection with his public statements against Latvians. During the negotiations, the VDD adopted Roslikov’s explanations for the reasons and goals of such statements.

Similarly, Roslikov was also warned of the planned responsibility in the event of a national hatred or other criminal offenses.

On June 5, the majority of Roslikov parliamentarians excluded the parliamentary hall. He said in a high voice tone in the Saeima that Russian speakers had also been in barricades with Latvians. He asked rhetorical questions that will be invented for future Russian speakers – « some reserves, the law that Russian speakers cannot call their child by a particular name because it is Russian. »

Roslikov also stated that with various laws and decisions, the state had « bombed our families », thinking of Russian -speaking families.

He emphasized that a large part of the population in Latvia is Russians who speak Russian every day, but also participate in the development of the country, so without them the state will not be able to develop.

At the end of the speech, Russian exclaimed « We are more! Russian – our language! » And showed a gross gesture by hand. It was decided to exclude him to this meeting and expel him from the hall.

The State Language Center will begin the administrative violation process on Roslikov’s actions. The State Police will also examine the applications of several members of the Saeima on the actions of Member of the deputy Roslikov.

Roslikov was elected to the Riga City Council on Saturday.
