It now causes Coop to use a whole new remedy.

On the mortgage machines in about 600 Coop stores across the country, a new concept is being rolled out these days, where you can donate your mortgage in an approved collection for Coop Madskole GoCook.

« It is completely in line with Coop’s history and value set when we now allow our customers to donate their mortgage to Coop Madskole GoCook. In Coop we have a long tradition of supporting the teaching of food science, » says Thor Skov Jørgensen, CEO of Coop Denmark.

The money goes uncut to a restart of the non-profit food program Coop Madskole Gocook, which since 2012 has supported the teaching of food science for 150,000 children annually in all 98 municipalities and at 80 percent of the country’s schools.

Every year, Coop Madskole Gocook has millions of page views, prints of recipes and views of chef videos as well as a basic book and a recipe book that is widespread in most schools.

« We think it is important for children’s well -being and public health in general that young people get a natural relationship with cooking. If children from an early age become thrilled to go to the kitchen, then there is a chance that they will be as good as their parents – and maybe a little better – to make healthy and tasty food, » says Thor Skov Jørgensen.
