US Vice President calls on European countries to be more independent from the US / Day
In an interview with J. D. Vens has revealed his respect for French post -war leader Charles de Gaull. Sh. He also expressed the view that Europeans had to oppose the US -led invasion in 2003, which he said turned into a « strategic disaster, » quoted Politico. Many European countries were right when they were concerned about the Iraq war. Europe could have stopped it if it had been a little more independent of the US and ready to object a little more.
In response to Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensk’s accusations that the US administration justifies the Russian invasion through Moscow’s rhetoric, J. Mr Vens said: « It is absurd on the side of Zelenska to say to the US government, which currently contains all his government and war that we are on the Russian side. »
