US Stopping Aid will bring Russia's victory in the war against Ukraine – isw

Analysts of the Institute for War Study (ISW) warn that the stop of assistance to Ukraine by the United States significantly increases Russia's chances of victory in the war. This can lead to increased Russian aggression, the seizure of new territories and the blasting of stability in the region.

Details: In their report, analysts say that stopping or delayed assistance to Ukraine by the United States can be a decisive factor in changing the balance of forces in favor of Russia. Experts emphasize that it is Western support that Ukraine allows Ukraine to resist Russian aggression.

Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively using American systems such as Patriot, Himars and ATACMS, to protect against rocket strokes, lesions of the enemy's logistics chains, and the disruption of Russia's defense and industrial potential.

ISW has repeatedly emphasized the importance of the timely continuation of Western military assistance to Ukraine and observed correlation between the scale of Russian victories in Ukraine and delays or cessation of support.

Literally: « Russia can take advantage of the situation to capture more territories and increase pressure on Ukraine. It will not only bring Russia closer to victory, but also encourage Russian ruler Vladimir Putin, strengthening his belief in the possibility of achieving his strategic goals, including control over Ukraine and other countries.

The Kremlin is likely to activate its military campaign in Ukraine and will try to use any delay or termination of military assistance to Ukraine by the United States, as it happened in the spring of 2024. «

Details: ISW emphasizes that it is Putin, not Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is a major obstacle to the end of the war.

Literally: « Zelensky constantly confirms his dedication to achieving just and long peace in Ukraine. Zelensky several times – in particular, in an interview with Fox News of February 28, he said that he was ready to make concessions about the territory, NATO's membership in NATO and even his own residence for the president.

Putin and other high -ranking Kremlin officials, on the contrary, constantly confirmed their devotion to the initial goals of the war in Ukraine, which consist in the full surrender of Ukraine, the replacement of the current Ukrainian authorities by the pro -Russian puppet government, as well as Ukraine's obligation to neutrality and demilitarization – all this will make Ukraine.

Key conclusions ISW for March 1:

  • US high -ranking officials suggest that the United States can reduce all assistance to Ukraine, although US President Donald Trump has not expressed any of these intentions. The termination of current assistance to Ukraine will directly undermine the goal of achieving a sustainable peace in Ukraine by President Trump.
  • The Armed Forces of Ukraine, which receive significant assistance from the United States, inflict significant losses by Russian troops while keeping them at the level of minor victories. This situation, combined with the serious challenges that will face Russia in 2025, has significant levers of influence in peace talks. Suspension of current military assistance to Ukraine by the United States will encourage Russian ruler Vladimir Putin to further increase his demands and feed his belief that he can achieve a complete victory through war.
  • Collapse of assistance to Ukraine can reduce the influence of the United States in the world and encourage the opponents of the United States.
  • Putin, not President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, remains the main obstacle to the conclusion of a long peace agreement on Ukraine.
  • The Kremlin launched another information campaign aimed at preventing additional military assistance to Ukraine from the United States and Europe, claiming that Russia has won a war in Ukraine.
  • European countries remain devoted to the support of the Ukrainian army and the defense industry, however, against the background of preparation for the European Defense Summit dedicated to Ukraine, which will take place on March 2.
  • Ukrainian troops advanced forward under Toretsk, and Russian troops under the Great Novosilka.
  • The Ministry of Defense of Russia continues to recruit unusable soldiers' health, trying to solve the problem of lack of personnel.
