What is the memorial day?
The Memorial Day will be celebrated in the USA on the last Monday in May. He honors the men and women who have lost their lives in the service of the US forces. Originally known as a decoration day, after the American Civil War, he was created as a commemoration day for the fallen of this conflict and was officially recognized in 1868. After the First World War, the day was extended to all those who died in military service and was given the name Memorial Day. He has been a public holiday in the United States since 1971. Many Americans visit cemeteries or monuments on this day, organize family reunions or take part in parades to commemorate the fallen and express their gratitude.
