Upper Patisia: In recession the fire in an abandoned factory
Disruption caused the residents, the big fire that broke out on Tuesday night, at the premises of the abandoned former factory on Agios Antonios Street in Ano Patisia, within walking distance of apartment buildings.
According to the Fire Brigade, the fire is now in recession. Firefighters fought overnight with the flames that burned the building, whose almost all roof fell with the battle of extinguishing continuing inside the factory.

ELAS forces were also found at the scene, while Traffic Police diverted traffic by closing three roads: Dimitrakopoulou Street, from the height of Agia Lavra Street, Agios Antonios Street, from the height of Heraklion Avenue, Terlouou Street, Terkouou Street.
Shortly after 7am, however, vehicle traffic in the area was restored.
‘The space has been turned into a landfill’
According to information from the team on Facebook, « Rizoupoli-Kitonia Again », a large fire had occurred again in the same area about 10 days ago.
As the team complains, the factory space has been converted into a dump and garbage dump. « Junk objects and very flammable materials (wood, cardboard, wooden households, plastic, styrofoam, bottles with unspecified » oils « , etc.), stacked in the dirty and vast spaces of the former factory, are a healthy bomb. »
