Bad reputation
The Peterboswijk, a social high-rise living area in Anderlecht, has had a bad reputation for a long time due to the nuisance and crime that is the result of the drug trade that is rampant. Since a few years, drug gangs from Marseille would make the service, and make attempts to force their territory by violence.
In December 2022, thirty people were sentenced to penalties that went from autonomous work sentences of 225 hours to eight -year prison sentences because they had set up a well -organized drug trade from the social residential blocks in the neighborhood.
