Unlocking the political crisis, rumors of the need for the coalition between the LVV and the PDK are increased
The stalemate created in the Assembly of Kosovo since April 15 is only deepening, as the ninth legislature failed to constitute even in today’s effort.
Already the 21 failed attempts to constitute the Assembly have increased rumors of a possible governing coalition between the first coalition in the February 9 parliamentary elections, the Self -Determination Movement, the Alternative and the List, and the Second Party, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, as a solution to unblock the situation, despite constant denials by both sides.
Political connoisseurs say that, after international messages and meetings that EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Kaja Kallas, had with party leaders, there may be positive movements next week to unlocking the situation, alluding to the approximation between the LVV coalition, the anteriority, the Guxo and the PDK.
Politicalologist Albinot Maloku tells KosovaPress that a ruling coalition between these two parties would be the right alternative to overcome the stalemate.
However, he criticizes LVV, alternatives and dare that they have deliberately dragged on the formation of new institutions, having no sincere will to cooperation.
« The first after the election process (Vetevendosje Movement) has no sincere will. Consequently, it proves to the maximum to maneuver with situations, proven to be constructive the LVV itself and portray the other party as deconstructive. In this context, I consider that the LVV, which has the privilege to propose the head of the assembly, The stagnation that is going on.
The stalemate in the Assembly is currently in the formation of the relevant secret voting commission, which is not receiving the support of the opposition parties and the Serbian List.
Political analyst, Magbule Shkodra, says the best solution to get out of this situation is a wider political cooperation, anticipating a coalition between the LVV, the PDK and the Social Democratic Initiative.
On the contrary, it warns of political and economic consequences for the country if the stalemate is extended.
« I believe that maybe next week there will be some changes. I hope it is, because otherwise, if it goes on, we are losing an important moment for Kosovo, which in addition to the political consequences will have economic consequences … It is better to form a broad-based government. The LDK has already refused and I do not believe it will come back.
The Vetevendosje Movement Coalition, the Guxo List and the Alternative, does not have the necessary numbers of 61 MPs to elect the Speaker of Parliament and to form the government and has proposed the ruling coalition with the Democratic League of Kosovo, but the latter has rejected such a thing.
LVV leader Albin Kurti has expressed his readiness for the ruling coalition with the Social Democratic Initiative that has three MPs in the legislature.
However, he has repeatedly denied the possibility of the ruling coalition with the PDK. The same is done by the latter’s leadership.
On the other hand, since May 1, the Vetevendosje Movement Coalition, the List of Guxo and Alternative, insist that the voting of its candidate for the Speaker of Parliament, Albulena Haxhiu, will be by secret ballot, as it failed to be elected to this open vote.
But other political parties have opposed this form of voting, calling it unconstitutional and contrary to the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, and have demanded the change of candidate for parliamentary speaker.
