« Universal » released the official trailer of « villain 2 »
According to the official synopsis, the second film will continue from where the first one ends and will recreate the events of the second act of the musical, as Elfaba and Glinda’s friendship is put to the test while they accept their new identities such as the evil witch of the West and Glinda.
The two films were filmed simultaneously at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire between December 2022 and January 2024, with production interrupted in the middle due to the strike of Hollywood actors. According to producer Mark Platt, dividing the film into two parts allows the entire music soundtrack to be included.
