United Kingdom Destroi Houthi Drone Factory

The United Kingdom announced on Wednesday that it held a joint air strike with the US military against a drone production installation of Hethis terrorist in Yemen.

« The British forces participated in a joint operation with the US forces against a Houthis military target in Yemen, » the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The ministry said the attack occurred about 25 kilometers south of the capital Ienita, Sanaa, « at night, when the probability of civilians are in the area is low. »

According to the statement, the operation, carried out by British fighters Typhoon, targeted « a group of buildings used by Houthis to manufacture the type used to attack ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. »

The hethis, who control large areas of Yemen, have attacked maritime transport since the end of 2023. The US began, in early 2024, to bombar targets of the Houthis, as part of an operation to contain the threat to the merchant ships, an operation in which the United Kingdom had already participated.

But this is the first time the London government has publicly announced that it has done such operations since Washington launched a new campaign against the rebels in mid -March.
