Under the motto « Healthy Beginnings, Reliable Future » marked World Health Day
Under the motto « Healthy Beginnings, Reliable Future » today in Skopje was marked World Health Day, organized by the Macedonian Medical Association.
The President of the Macedonian Medical Association, Goran Dimitrov noted that the most important thing is to reach the promotion to all the minds that do not come to regular controls, examinations and taking tests and vaccination for cervical cancer protection.
-The beautiful thing is that last year we introduced the ninth vaccine and now vaccinated both boys and girls. Unlike previous years when it dropped to 32 percent, it now rises to over 50-60 percent. There are no consequences of the vaccine. So far, 270 million doses of this vaccine have been given as a 21st century discovery- Dimitrov said.
Asked by a journalist on advancement in science, Dimitrov emphasized that what is falling under their jurisdiction.
-For advancement in science these are the significant educational institutions that exist in the country. These are the three medical faculties, the schools of secondary medical education and all the others. However, what falls below us is that we organize events, workshops, congresses, internation-important symposia of great importance in full steam- he said.
Dimitrov noted that the Macedonian Medical Association celebrated its 80th anniversary this year, which was founded in August 1945. He emphasized that their fella is about seven-eight thousand medical doctors, doctors and the organization are working to achieve the goals of MMA-organizing continuous medical education, because, as he said, doctors’ education, doctors do not stop graduating from the faculty, as well as preserving our country’s reputation.
Health Minister Arben Taravari noted that as a ministry they are doing everything our patients get better quality, better and closer conditions. The minister stressed that the health of mothers and infants is one of the main priorities, and also congratulated the World Health Day of all health professionals.
Akim Ali, a representative of the World Health Organization for the Republic of Northern Macedonia, emphasized that this year’s focus is on the maternal health and the health of infants, which, he said, is essential for the future of the country.
-In the really good job your doctor, sisters and all healthcare professionals and Northern Macedonia have made great progress, but there is still a job that needs to be completed. I hope we continue to work together in the future and achieve success – said Ali.
