Under investigation two police officers, a 30 -day detention

Public Prosecutor from the Specialized Department for Prosecution of Crimes committed by persons with police powers and prison police officers acting on the criminal charges filed by the Ministry of Interior, issued an order to conduct an investigation against two police officers. There is a reasonable suspicion that the suspects have committed a prolonged crime of obstructing justice, a prolonged crime of abuse of power and authority and a prolonged crime of falsifying a document.

According to the Public Prosecutor's Office today, according to the evidence gathered in the pre -trial procedure, suspects as officials – Chief and Senior Inspector, by prior agreement and together, failure to do their official position with the intention of preventing them from proving the actions that were conducted before the OHO Kumanovo.

– In August 2023, a rifle was found against a crime suspect in August 2023, although a rifle was found, the second suspect did not notify the competent public prosecutor and with the reporting he prepared to the BPPO Kumanovo, which he approved and signed his first suspect, did not seek his first suspect. In this way, the suspects abusing their position by failing to do their official duty, concealed the case that served to prove the crime committed and enabled the report against the suspect to be dismissed, which have seriously violated the rights of damaged charges of the crime – the statement said.

At the end of December last year, the first suspect made a certificate of returned cases that were returned to a suspected vehicle that had previously been confiscated on grounds of suspicion of a crime of falsifying a document. Although they knew that the identity of the vehicle, according to the forensic examination, had changed, the first suspect, instead of filing criminal charges, prepared a notification to the BPPO Kumanovo, which the second suspect approved and signed the chief, and then was submitted to the prosecution. Returning the vehicle, the suspects allowed another to obtain 7,640 euros worth of property.

– Realizing the circumstances that indicate the danger of escape if the suspects are defended, and that they will hinder criminal proceedings with the influence of witnesses and accomplices that would provide important information on the criminal legal events, and given the job positions, the public prosecutor is in the public prosecutor. Therefore, to the pre -trial judge at the Basic Criminal Court Skopje, the prosecution submitted a proposal to impose a detention measure for the two suspects, which the proposal was accepted and a decision was given a 30 -day detention – the statement said.
